Review on CHELINK Bluetooth Mercedes Wireless Interface by Nick Esquibel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works with very few problems.

Before I got this one I tried a much more expensive one and it was very faulty. So I decided to switch to a simplified version. This unit has a slightly lower sound quality because it is connected to the AUX input instead of the iPod input. It also doesn't automatically start or stop your music, which is quite annoying - my phone usually keeps playing for 20-30 seconds after I turn the car off. But overall, as a basic Bluetooth-to-aux device, it does what it's supposed to. I will say if I knew it only plugged into the aux through the Mercedes adapter I could spend half the money on another device that would plug an aux in into my current Mercedes adapter. But there's also something to be said for six feet of cord that doesn't take up much of my glove box. The only problem I had was that on very hot days the throughput sometimes kind of freezes. My phone keeps playing and everything says connected on all ends, but the audio randomly stops. What I found to work around was to unplug and plug back in the glove box. It reconnects and works fine again. I've only noticed this on very hot days, which only happens a few months a year in my state. And usually it only happens 1-2 times until the air conditioner cools down the car sufficiently. In fact, I haven't even thought of opening the glove box's AC connector to cool it down faster until now. That being said, if you live in a very hot area you might want to shop elsewhere.
