This was recommended to make it easier to install the part on an office chair. The problem is that the hole is smaller than it looks in the photos. I didn't check the return policy before ordering as Revain is usually very good at accepting returns. This is being sold by a third party and is therefore subject to their return policy which states 'buy, keep'. If I realized it was irrevocable, I would definitely measure it first. While not required, it would be nice if the seller noted in the description that the sale of this item is final and cannot be returned. Do yourself a favor - measure the object to be clamped first! If it's even scarce, don't buy it. It's very narrow and so the uses are pretty limited.
