This monitor is great for a console. I was looking for a monitor for my Xbox Series X. Coming from an old monitor that was only 75Hz I knew I had to upgrade as you can unlock 120fps with the next gen. To be honest after a few months of playing I have to say it's been a blast and I can definitely say how smooth things are now. Not sure lol because I switched from a standard Xbox One to a Series X, but the quality and fluidity of the gameplay is on another level. I highly recommend this for Series X and other consoles. I found that I can enable variable refresh rate in settings, which I couldn't do before. So far there hasn't been any screen tearing or stuttering, and yes, the settings aren't the best, but you can tweak them to your liking in the monitor's settings menu. In terms of video quality, you can do 1080p at 120Hz, which works great for me since 1440p doesn't really matter and is more expensive. I hope this helps people decide if this monitor is for you. I'm not a gaming tech so you may have different opinions, but if you're looking to get into the game or just want a smooth gaming experience, I'd highly recommend it. Enjoy your friend's day.👍
