I had spent 4 hours on amazon looking for a skirt for a show and I was dissatisfied with all the skirts I looked at, but then I found this one. The reviews were great but I still had my doubts, but I bought it anyway. I am 5'5 and 189 lbs and ordered an xl ( currently losing weight) when it arrived and opened the package I was like oooooh this pretty. And it was I looked it over and there were no defects l. Then I put it on. It fit wonderfully. But I had a hard time getting the zipper up. But I pulled the zipper peice together and I got it up after a few more tugs. It was a little tight around the waist but not unbearable. I'm sure when I drop a few pounds it will fit better. It flows beautifully and hopefully when I learn how to tie a pretty bow it will look amazing for my show. If you buy this skirt I would get your normal size and I do suppose that the tight waist would help keep up the skirt to those of us who dont have a butt.So in conclusion, yes I do recommend this skirt
