The Fluke T5-600 Multimeter is extremely easy to use. It takes over the most important functions in electrical work. It tests AC/DC voltage, continuity and AC current (no DC). I have worked as a residential, commercial and industrial electrician and use these three functions for troubleshooting 98% of the time. I rarely need more features, but when I do, I have another multimeter with all the trimmings. Pros: Slim/compact Simple/easy to use Rugged/dust and water resistant Sensors stowed on the back of the meter One sensor can be held against the meter while testing Auto shutoff Continuity buzzer Automatic AC/DC voltage detection Cons: No backlight/ would be ideal IMO , if it were, Additional Fluke accessories, if required, are expensive Test leads are specific to this type of meter To me, the pros far outweigh the cons. I will always have such a simple measuring device in my pocket. would recommend.
