So here we go. I have a sport bike where you can't look in the mirror unless you want to look at your elbow. I made them road legal. I installed one in my already installed threaded end on my bike. The first thing I had to do was use a different screw than the one that came with the mirrors. The threaded portion in my bars was the next size up. Yes I could remove the original insert and use the insert that came with the mirrors but I decided to just get a new screw. I then had to make the head of the new bold smaller to match the rod's final weight so the mirror would fit on it. However I bought the wrong ones and will be changing them over the winter as I have now switched to a green bike and the red one just doesn't look good.
