This headlight kit is very expensive, especially as it comes with two brackets and a taillight. However, the headlamp (actually just a flashlight that runs on 3 AAA batteries) does not come with a protective battery cover. The screw on the cover is simply metal, with no rubber gasket like any waterproof flashlight. As such, claims of "water resistance" should be taken lightly. Any moisture that gets into the battery compartment, even a little, is bad. If you need to use your headlight in the rain, you should look for a headlight kit that is genuinely IPC rated. I returned this product and bought a higher quality headlight.
