Part fitted and fixed my problem

I know when a motorized garage door opener fails it's a first world problem. But. Yes, it needs to be fixed as soon as possible. My Genie screw drive model is a PowerMax 1200. I did not follow the instructions that came with the bottom bracket. Instead, I removed the motor from its overhead mounts and placed it on the ladder. I then removed the door end of the track from the door mount. I was then able to remove the front third of the lead screw with the bottom bracket by sliding it out of the front end of the rail. I put the new bottom bracket on the part of the bolt I removed and put the new bottom bracket and bolt back into the guide, reversed the disassembly process and voila, the garage door works again. Much easier than the proposed disassembly of the steering rack from the engine with all the consequences. The part works like clockwork.
