Maybe mine is older and works better? But mine works great on my wife when she trims my hair (neckline, sideburns around ears etc.) and on me when she trims my body hair. No problem. Neither with the blade itself, nor with the electronics. I clean and oil the blades after each use (small brush, 3 in 1 oil). I would recommend this with any hair clipper. I have changed my blades twice again since 2014. Regular scheduled maintenance only. Revain also has replacement blades. Just to be clear and set expectations. It won't shave you like a razor when you expect it to. Well, unless they've changed something or outsourced components since 2014. Take care of it and it will perform well for many years.
