Review on IHC 4 Cylinder Ignitor Upgrade: PerTronix 1442 Delivers Enhanced Performance by Clinton Delgado

I installed this on a Farmall 300 to replace points/capacitors. Very easy to install. Pertronix provided everything necessary. The distributor used on this Farmall 300 required slight modification to fit in this kit. I had to make a 1" countersink on the back of the plastic ignition plate (plate under the rotor) about 1/16" deep and sand about 1/16" from the end of the included magnet cap. Pertronix kit. When I removed the magnet cover first time installed on the rotor post it was too high and the distributor cover could not be installed. These modifications allowed for proper installation. Otherwise the mounting plate fell just right. After installation I saw an immediate improvement in starting and performance - me had problems with it missing cold and under load.No more problem!I am a VERY SATISFIED customer and plan to order a kit for my other two tractors as well.
