Review on Feedback Sports Sprint Work Stand by Travis Oetting

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good, but not great

I bought this stand to support two bikes: my fiancee's cyclocross bike with quick releases and my road bike. with thru axles. To use this bike with 12mm thru-axles, you must first purchase a 12mm adapter. Otherwise the axle has enough play and scratches in the 15mm part supplied. Switching between QR and 12mm is a little annoying - you have to unscrew the silver part of the receiver to swap it out. Putting your bike on a stand is as easy as you can imagine; For the most part, I take the front wheels off the fork, put the remaining bike on a stand, and then either attach the dropouts to the QR adapter or run a thru-axle. I think the much more expensive Park Tool PRS-22.2 has a better mount. However, after watching the PRS-22.2 video on Youtube, it looks like the Sprint stand has much more comfortable clamps. With Blue Team stands you have to fiddle with the tension of the clamps a bit each time, but in this case there is no need to adjust the tension and just closing them all the way is enough.

Pros
  • Rigid tripod base and rubber coated end caps for maximum stability of the workstand even on uneven surfaces
Cons
  • Out of fashion
