I have found my Canon ix6820 to produce much better photos than my Epson XP-830. Epson keeps leaving black ink streaks on photos because the black cartridges appear to be leaking. When I want to print photos, I have to take out the black cartridges and gently wipe the silicone ring around the printheads to remove excess ink. I can then print photos without black streaks, but Epson always puts too much ink on prints, and images with checked shirts or similar areas tend to get dirty in the darker areas of photos. Not suitable for Canon printers and ink. This is even true when printing the same photo that was printed by Epson. I'm hoping the new Canon XL cartridges will last much longer than the first set that came with the printer or I'm looking for a new economy printer with a lower running cost. I have no complaints about Canon's print quality, just hoping to make economical use of these new XL cartridges.
