I purchased this map for my 8-year old great-nephew following a conversation about how many states he had visited on family vacations. He had a difficult time remembering the locations and ended up asking for help from his Mom/my niece. I researched various maps appropriate for an 8-year old that would be interactive and durable enough for future trips. He was so excited to receive the map and promptly put it on the wall in his room. He loved to scratch off each state visited and tell me stories about each one. This was a "win" for a favorite great-aunt!
