My expectations weren't high since my last experience with CrownTV was 2 years ago when we had some issues with the software and some bugs. Since then I've worked with them again when I needed help with an older version of the software (it had problems with the ad hoc files), and they did a great job fixing those problems. Now I needed to have new content installed. That's where the problem came. I had the contract in writing and agreed to pay a fixed price for the whole project. But after receiving the quote, the cost kept rising. The reason why is because during the installation they discovered something else wrong with the software, so they had to install another license. When they realized they couldn't install the license because of some problem with the existing licenses, they asked me to wait until the next week. I said no. Then they told me they could only install it if I paid them extra money. So I said ok. And that's when they made me sign a new contract saying that I would pay $1000 per month to use the software, and the amount will keep increasing every year. It seems the first project was ok.
