I purchased this product and a battery operated air compressor/tire inflator to take with me while driving because my car does not have run-flat tires, a spare tire or a place to carry a spare tire kit and the included instructions are not completely accurate match. The plug inserter does not have an anti-slip device which the user must use according to steps 4 and 5 of the attached tire repair manual to press down on the tire tread and leave the plug in when removing the plug inserter. Tires. Step 5 of the instructions says "Slide the support platform all the way into the hoop. Hold the holding platform against the tire by pulling up on the T-handle quickly and firmly, leaving the plug in place.” I don't know if the plug will remain in the tire if the tool is removed without this guard. Why is it listed in the manual and some other tire repair kits but not this one? Should the user use the included pliers as an aid to holding the plug while removing the insertion tool to ensure the plug stays in the tire? If I were to buy again I would probably choose a different kit, either BETOOLL tire repair kit 22, model no. 5841857147, or Vehiclex compact tire repair kit, part number VHX-HD-TIRE-REPAIR-SM.
