I really like that it's not too loud. It has different settings for how high the fan should turn on. So if you really don't want to notice it, you can use the lowest settings. I now have an AC wallbox that makes a lot more noise than the highest setting of this air purifier so even on the highest setting it's not too loud for me. When you turn it on, it creates a gentle draft while you circulate the air in the room. I really like the timer as I can leave it on for a few hours at night and it will turn itself off. My family suffers from very severe seasonal allergies and this has really helped. My husband was so excited to try this as he has the worst allergy in the family. Spring is here now and we are in the Central Valley of California. We are surrounded by agriculture and the flowering trees are beautiful, but unfortunately with allergies this is a sign that allergy season has begun. His allergies were so severe that his eyes were swollen. But it has really helped him find solace, at least when he comes home from work. Allergies in children have also improved when they are indoors as we all need some time outdoors.
