I smell like sewage gas in my RV bathroom. I wasn't sure if the source was the air inlet (vent) valve under the sink or the toilet flange gasket. I placed a freezer bag over the vent and sealed it securely with duct tape. After a few hours the smell was gone so I knew the ventilation was poor. I replaced a poor quality OEM fan with a Studor Redi Vent and now the smell is gone. This was an easy fix, just unscrew the old vent and replace with a new one. It is hand tightened so no tools are required. Please note you will also need some teflon thread tape on the new valve before installation (not included).
