Review on 🔪 Breville BOV650CB Bamboo Cutting Board: The Perfect Companion for BOV650XL Compact Smart Oven by Sandhya Ramirez

This cutting board looks and feels well made. Absorbing and deflecting heat from the rise directly to anything above it. It also protects objects from melting that you might absent-mindedly place on the stove while it's still hot. In fact, you can use it as a shelf and always keep something on it that will prevent scratches on the stove (or hide them if they are already there). questioning the wisdom of my wife's intention to place the oven under a plastic lens housing under our fluorescent lighting. Now I don't worry as much. As for its merits as a real cutting board, I have no idea. That's not why I bought it and we haven't had it long enough to know. It looks like everything is going to be fine. As others have pointed out (thankfully) it also fits in the BOV450XL Mini Smart Oven. This is the model we chose and it has many merits, but I was disappointed to find that Breville didn't make a suitable cutting board. The modification required is simple: remove the legs, drill (8) new holes 3/32" diameter, 3/8" deep and exactly 1/2" inside where the original holes were, and install the legs again. The downside to using this board with a mini oven is that it still doesn't look quite right because the board hangs a little over the oven walls. It's still better than not having it, but it would have looked a lot better. if the board was 1/2 inch narrower than the oven. Because of this, Breville has to make a cutting board that fits whatever size oven they make!
