This is a beautiful decoration! The decoration was plastic. It's ceramic. Clara's dress has a lace bottom layer, the purple skirt is like thick gauze with a pink ribbon. 3) The reviews we read all the time say that this product breaks often. We decided to order 2 in case 1 arrived broken. Both arrived broken at different locations. The one on the left (see photo) only broke off a nutcracker and Clara's right hand. I just glued it back on and it seems sturdy enough and discreet enough that we're still planning on giving it away! :D. The second piece of jewelry had both arms and part of the right arm broken off. I taped the left hand back but I think we'll probably get it back. *** I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING THIS ITEM IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO REPAIR IT ***
