Gonna leave the switches on I had to re-solder
I plugged everything in and the switches were still on. So I decided to take a closer look and reminded myself they should be using a trip wire. I had to check which wire was the correct wire at the relay and cut it at the harness and spliced a longer wire. I used the parking lights as a trigger cable, now the switch lights up when the parking lights come on. no more problems with a dead battery.
