Reed & Barton North Pole Bound Snowglobe - Christmas 867074 - Brand New Review

I really liked the simple but rich design. Big enough to decorate, but small and light enough to lift and kick up snow. The sound of the music box is a bit annoying for such a peaceful scene.

In the order a globe with a deer and Silent Night. They sent bears and jingle bells. The glue securing the music box/base to the body of the ball didn't work. It arrived split and the inside of the suitcase was full of little styrofoam balls that were floating around the house. Not thrilled, although it looks like it could be a good globe.

The size of the snow globe is ok, albeit a bit smaller than I would like. The bullet itself is clean with no bubbles or scratches. However, I don't hear any Silent Night in this piece and the basis seems cheap. It plays at such a speed that it no longer sounds like the intended music. The base looks like painted plastic and feels cheap in the hand. Not my best buy. I will continue my hunt for the perfect snow globe.

This thing is complete bullshit. The base is made of coated plastic. The edges aren't even smooth. The music sounds tinny and flat. Finally, the figures housed inside are identical to the $20 snow globe I've seen at a hardware store. The quality of this item is embarrassing for a company like Reed & Barton. I have come to the conclusion that you are not paying more than a gram or two of silver used to coat the plastic base. Save your money, look elsewhere

I really liked the globe, the only thing that let me down was the music it played. it wasn't a quiet, slow, still night, it was a fast, simmering, still night that didn't really go with the soothing sight of a snow globe. I got this for my son and daughter in law for Christmas as he likes to hunt and thought it would be a good decoration for Christmas and would last all winter too. I still loved everything else. The workmanship was nice at the base. Also beautiful and strong.

This globe is great! I actually had to send back the first one I received and was given a replacement. The first had a tiny crack in the glass ball, a spot of glue on the inside of the ball, VERY little snow glitter and the music box only worked for a very short time. The replacement I received today had none of these issues. There is a lot of snow, the music plays for a long time, there are no flaws. I was very disappointed when I received this globe. I bought these for my sister for Christmas as we had a tradition of giving each other snow globes for a while. It was shipped as expected and arrived on time, however when I opened the packaging to inspect it I was disappointed with the quality of the globe.
