I'll save you some time - you'll need a pair of pliers to pry the small plastic sleeve far enough onto your existing key. Slide it as far as you can (make sure it's seated properly, it only goes one way), then gently press with a pair of pliers to line it up with the screw holes. Then when you're done with that, it slides into the back of the new keychain to lock it in place. Please note that the plastic part can only slide in one direction (it has the shape of a hammer). Then place your guts on top, snap open the top half of the lid and screw it on. Fits very well when finished but not as easy as it looks in the picture.
