Pump meets expectations. I used it properly when I fixed a flat tire on my Electra road bike. The pump easily handled a 26" x 2.35" tire. It's a small pump, so it takes a lot of strokes and more effort to get 50-60psi than you think. But it's an emergency device, and it did the job. The screw on the hose is an upgrade from the cam lever I had on the old pump - no leaks and less risk of damage. The pump does not rattle when driving and is held firmly in a simple bracket. I now have two Lezyne pumps so I would recommend them. I usually apply a small amount of lube to all hose and pump threads. Aluminum to aluminum contact tends to cause galling, which can lead to galling - which I believe is what causes the valve cores to come out. You should really anodize aluminum. But overall an excellent and reliable product.
