Does the job! on Gauges

Put simply, this is a simple tachometer with an integrated gear indicator. Works well and seems accurate. It's a bit more than I would like for my application, but that's not the product's fault. Easy connection, although I would have preferred the signal wire (to the coil in my case) to be longer than other aftermarket speedometers. This is not a problem for me as I was replacing an old smaller speedo that had died and already had a signal wire to the coil. Quickly cut and assemble and you were ready to go. Finally on the product, I wish the bulb was easier to replace than taking it apart. It would be nice if it had a quick reversal like the other Autometers I already have. Also, the vehicle must be KOEO to set the light switch point. This is my first tach with a shift light so it might be stock but it would be nice to be able to fine tune it during operation and engine RPM. Of course you CAN turn the dial while running, it just won't be accurate. Overall a good tachometer and a solid buy. Would I buy again, but also: why do most tachometers run at 8 or 10 thousand rpm? In fact, 6000 rpm is all most of us truckers need. I wish this speedo came in a 6K version to allow the needle to reach its full potential. (truck 5400 max)
