Review on Suburban Manufacturing 5243ASW10DE 10-G Direct Spark Electric Heating Element by Brad Bowers

Finally looked through after almost a year of use. That works great. Water is said to heat up in about an hour, but in Florida it takes about twenty minutes to go from room temperature to a hot shower. Suburban CS told me that the 120v option needs a 12v connection to work. That's wrong. This works independently of a 120V power supply, 12V is not required. Of course you need that 12 volt spark to use propane, but if you plug in a three prong plug it can fire straight out of a standard outlet. I built it from scratch into my own rebuild and had to use it before I could fully install the propane and set up the 12v lines. You can't adjust the temperature like that, but you have dials for cold and hot water. It's getting very hot.
