I have used this product in my 6000 gallon carp pond for many years and it works great when used properly. You should start using this product before you have algae problems and before it gets hot outside. My pond stays clean all summer, but that doesn't stop filamentous algae from forming in the shallow stream that feeds my pond. When I first started using this, I quickly found that if you already have a 'green body of water' to clean it with, it won't work. I have always used this at the maximum recommended strength.
