I bought Category 1 because I got into triathlon last year and started to take my training/competition more seriously. This wetsuit was advertised as an "entry-level wetsuit" combining functionality and economy. While I'm definitely an amateur triathlete, a wetsuit is a must when triathlon (especially in cold open water). First, the suit is true to size. I'm taller than the average triathlete (6ft 185lbs) so the size Large fits me perfectly. If you have never used a wetsuit I would suggest using one of the many instructional videos available on Youtube to ensure you take precautions when donning and doffing a wetsuit in T1. . For me, the suit was easy to put on and take off without additional lubrication or baby powder. As I said, I use it for triathlon and my first competition with it was the Olympic distance (swimming 0.9 miles). The increased lift was unrealistic. The suit fits well and is snug throughout with little restriction. You need to make sure you tighten any slack you may have, otherwise it will become too tight on your neck. but that's not the suit's fault, it's the operator's fault. Once sealed, the suit was very warm (although initially the water temperature was comfortable) and I had no problem getting water into the suit. My range of motion was amazing and I didn't find it restricting my stroke. As I said, I'm a beginner triathlete, but for most athletes or tritalon participants, this wetsuit will be more than useful. I would highly recommend this product to any beginner or triathlon enthusiast.
