I love this steamer! The main reason I bought it is because it is stainless steel. I don't like cooking in plastic unless it's necessary. The instructions are simple and you can prepare a lot of vegetables at once. So far I haven't had much scale on the bottom, mostly because I don't let the water leak out. I've seen a lot of negative reviews about how impossible it is to clean the floor of minerals but the instructions say how to clean it and other people say they followed the instructions and it worked like magic. I think the problem is that a lot of people get this and throw the manual around and start cooking right away and complain when something is wrong. READ THE MANUAL! That's what he's there for. I highly recommend this steamer.
