This is a very nice tile. I used them to cover the tiles around my fireplace that needed a little updating. The whole space looks different and now becomes the center of attention when people enter it. I rarely use my fireplace, but I know to put a fireproof carpet in front of it in case there are sparks. Before laying the tiles I spent extra time making sure all surfaces were clean and it took about 15 minutes to lay. Since the tiles have borders they were easy to align and there are arrows on the back of the tiles showing how to attach them. They are also soft, nice touch. I bought two boxes to complete my project and will buy from this manufacturer again if I have another project. Tip: I've found it's easier to cut tiles with scissors than with an exacto knife and still get a good edge.
