3" fits our standard door handles. 5 of 6 still work a month after "installation" but 1 failed within 2 weeks. The gray one Part fell off leaving glue on the wall I had some trouble aligning the gray part with the glue ring I haven't tried painting them yet and as they are the ones in the powder room are not easy to ignore as there You'd be stopped by a baseboard-mounted door. Otherwise, I'm glad I have it.
