3" fits our standard door handles. 5 of 6 still work a month after "installation" but 1 failed within 2 weeks. The gray one Part fell off leaving glue on the wall I had some trouble aligning the gray part with the glue ring I haven't tried painting them yet and as they are the ones in the powder room are not easy to ignore as there You'd be stopped by a baseboard-mounted door. I really liked them at first. It's easy to stick the double-sided adhesive on the wall, and it's easy to stick the white cork on the adhesive. However, after a few weeks, all but one of the corks came off. I applied again, but after a few days or weeks everything was gone. The back of the plugs are slightly concave and you need to apply a lot of pressure to get them to stick to the adhesive. I'm pretty sure that's why they show up in the end. Save money and find another brand.

I bought this to make sure we didn't damage the tiles on our newly renovated bathroom wall. I was a little concerned that the humidity in the bathroom might cause the adhesive to come loose, but it stays in place. I liked that I can choose it in gray to better match the wall. I loved them and the reviews were mostly good. But BUYER BEWARE! The rubber discs stuck to the wall very easily, and within two days the rubber cork fell off the self-adhesive sticky pad on three of the four discs I had installed, leaving a sticky sticky pad on my walls and glue all over the back of the rubber cork (which my kids later found and stuck on EVERYTHING).
