Review on Wireless Monitor and Motion Sensor for Smart Caregiving: The Economy Edition by Kadarius Gentry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you care for someone at risk of falling or with dementia, GET IT!

This is my new best friend. I am taking care of my 94 year old father and he has dementia. He loves getting out of bed, especially at night. He already has a broken hip, a bad scratch and bruises; single episodes. I went crazy until I found this gem. The key is to place it in a strategic location as it is very sensitive to movement. I have it in the corner under my bed. He's so curious even though he knows it. However, this is the best placement, otherwise he'll roll over, the ceiling will slide off, etc. This is how he'll be found under his bed just before his foot hits the floor. I gave 5 stars and hope the battery life is good. I don't wear it all day, but I definitely wear it all night. I received this a few days ago. It's a little pricey, but it works, so it's worth the money. The monitor works for multiple rooms, which comes in handy for me during the day or when I'm in the garden because he's bedridden. Gives me rest during the day so I can do other things or take breaks. The only thing I have is the ringing. I wish it had different sound options. I was in a deep sleep around 5:00 am and I have no idea how long it lasted. In the dream I wondered what that sound was. Though it's not a roar. In the evening I turn the volume down to medium. Mine was on the low end so maybe it was too soft while I slept. But the fact that I slept at all, and in such a deep sleep, is because this thing works! During the day when it's quiet, you can hear it immediately even if I'm in another room. (motion sensor) is smaller than I expected and seems to break if I'm not careful. I hope I don't step on it. Also, if the beep sounds, make sure to reset the sensor and monitor settings afterwards.
