Depending on your crochet hook, the head of the needle will sometimes be larger than the shaft, making it difficult to determine the exact size of the hook (especially on those whose numbers have worn away with use). Most needle/hook gauges are holes in plastic or metal, which is good for needles but terrible for hooks. I have a few different sets of crochet hooks, and some don't have measurements, and some just show sizes that have faded over time. Hook the bar into the appropriate slot to find out what size you are using. I bought several of these for different bags. They are strong, cute as a button and work very well.
