I installed the distributor, coil and cables a year and 3 months ago. I was very happy with the performance gain. Everything was fine until the spark disappeared. I checked the system and found that the module backplane was not grounded because the backplane web was cracked under the bottom plate (see photo). I opened a 'ticket' as instructed on the Protronix website and never received a response. I called tech support and they told me the consumable part is only warranted for one year. I explained that a frayed cable wouldn't just snap and break if installed properly, he asked me to email pictures but I didn't respond. I also asked about dismantling the distributor as the ground wire is attached under the bottom plate. He had no information about the disassembly, he asked to remove the shaft and could not tell if the drive wheel was pinched or pressed. He told me that I could run any wire you like in place of the ground wire. Conclusion Technical support was a waste of time. Still no response after emailing all requested information and photos. While I've been very happy with the performance improvements, I won't buy anything again from a company that doesn't endorse and support their products.
