Precision CNC machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum housings are lightweight yet offer maximum strength. Our Billet I2 distributors ship with Ignitor II modules factory installed.Compatible with most Capacitive Discharge Systems. Each billet distributor is hand polished and buffed to a high luster. Tempered distributor shaft has low torsion displacement for accurate timing and extended operational life. Upper ball bearing and extra long oil impregnated bronze lower bushing work together to reduce friction and provide shaft and advance mechanism stability reducing high RPM vibration. PerTronix D130700 can be used only with Engine Family - 221-302 V8.

Not a direct replacement

Simple electrical connections and operation. A shortcoming, the housing is larger than the OEM. For me this resulted in having to get a new thermostat housing to move the temp sensor. Otherwise the Pertronix unit would not be fully installed.

Works great on my 65 Mustang 289 Hi-Po

I bought this because the Ignitor II kit didn't work at my aftermarket dealer. This distributor has a GM style cap and centrifugal ignition. The cap is slightly larger where it attaches to the manifold. Because of this I had to modify the bracket that supports my factory air compressor, but other than that it was a great fit. I also bought a coil and power relay to apply 12 volts to the coil and bypass the pink wire resistor. The sync is not where the initial sync should be. I started trackingโ€ฆ

Customer Care Laking

I installed the distributor, coil and cables a year and 3 months ago. I was very happy with the performance gain. Everything was fine until the spark disappeared. I checked the system and found that the module backplane was not grounded because the backplane web was cracked under the bottom plate (see photo). I opened a 'ticket' as instructed on the Protronix website and never received a response. I called tech support and they told me the consumable part is only warranted for one year. Iโ€ฆ
