I bought a homemade air hockey table and the hammers that came with it were just awful. They were hollow plastic and looked dead if you hit the puck with them. They're nice and strong and really speed up the action of the puck. They didn't feel like my originals, but they don't cause the extra wear and tear that I've noticed. Also, I should note that they have a very slight green cast. Overall, you can fully recommend them to upgrade your cheaper air hockey hammers at home.
