Review on McDavid 6500 HexPad Power Shooter Arm Sleeve by Devin Bro

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fits, but not great

These padded shooting sleeves fit pretty true to size. The main problem I have is with the ends.On the adidas sleeves they put little rubber at the ends of the sleeves to prevent slipping. These do not have that and so the slip frequently and you have to put them back in place. The other problem is that the padding is not very large. If you were playing a sport where you just needed to protect the very end of your elbow these would be sufficient, but I like the pads to come around the side some, and cover the funny bone area, these are not quite large enough to get the whole area.I use these for ultimate and wallyball/indoor volleyball. I find that the padding is too light for indoor sports and when I layout playing ultimate, I often find the sleeve has completely rearranged itself on my arm.

Pros
  • Allows for full range of motion, making it an ideal choice for athletes who need to move freely
Cons
  • It doesn't provide enough protection for the elbow joint from hyperextension
