I originally ordered this for my 12 lb cat but it ended up being one bit big for him. It is very comfortable and soft for cats or dogs, but he could take it off when pulled back. I decided to try on my older dog who has lost some weight lately and it fits him perfectly and he looks so good. He is very gentle on his fur/skin and sits comfortably. I even noticed that it served as a remedy for his anxiety. So it didn't work for the cat, but it worked great for the dog. Now I have to order a size smaller for the cat.
