Review on πŸ–±οΈ Logitech M325 Wireless Mouse: Smooth Web Scrolling Experience - Black by James Auzenne

Great mouse, but annoying scroll wheel extras

High-quality mouse! Logitech always makes really good and amazing mice and this is no exception. The wireless receiver fits snugly into the USB socket, the mouse feels good and is a nice size, has a standard AA battery slot, and comes with a battery pre-installed, which is a nice touch. All the usual functions are there, left/right click, scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is particularly great as it scrolls smoothly. The previous Logitech mouse I had (M315) had a rougher scroll wheel as it felt jagged when scrolling. On the downside, it seems a lot smoother, and when you increase the amount of scrolling in Windows settings, it feels buttery smooth. What really annoyed me is that the scroll wheel also has a forward/back function by pushing the wheel left or right. I have never had this function in the past. I usually middle-press the scroll wheel in the browser to open a new tab, click a link, etc. But I often accidentally press the wheel to the left while doing so, which automatically takes me back a page. This almost always happened, which was very annoying. Good that you can disable this feature. The bad thing is that you have to download the Logitech SetPoint software for this, so I have to add another non-essential software and clutter my computer. I'm deducting a star for that hassle.

Pros
  • Robust workmanship
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
