Wow. I've been wanting to build a cheap Ryzen build for a while, especially with the 2600x. Then prices decided to abandon ship and they almost doubled while inventory was halved. At $155, the 10400 offers incredible performance for the price. Intel decides to lock down overclocking and RAM speed with this chip, which sure is pretty stupid, but still works. To be fair, it can be paired with a 3080 without major bottlenecks (although it really shouldn't be). A very good buy. Just buy another cooler! The one he goes with is loud and small!
