These good size (3/5 inch) stainless steel screws are suitable for fastening fence or decking materials. I use this size a lot to fix my old guard rail and I like the square drive on them best which works really well with an impact wrench. The heads are never removed but you must provide your own bit as it is not included in this kit. Strange, as many people don't have square head screwdrivers, but if you do, they don't wear out as quickly as Philips bits. It really is a much better design than Flat or Philips. Someone else has noticed that they bend, and I honestly haven't seen any of the 30+ I've cut into fairly hard pine. Maybe if you drill Trex on a cold day? I'm not an expert on this but they work great on pine and they have a sharp end that easily cuts into most wood species.
