I love the fact that this vent valve is made of metal and not plastic. I can feel the plastic cracking and/or tarnishing over time. I used this in my entertainment center because my stereo and DVR were getting too hot. I used this in combination with a temperature controlled motorized fan. Combined, these two factors kept my gear at a manageable 81 degrees. The only thing I don't like is that the "inserts" or flaps that go into the neckline are of different lengths, you don't see that and it doesn't affect anything, I just like the square necklines and it does the tracing The hole is a bit tricky if you're type A like me.
