Perfect fit - should come from the factory! You need it!

This is one of those things that really should be in every truck. However, we know it's not, but anyone who sees this will just assume it's a factory part because it fits perfectly. The tray does not slip and there is no excess dirt. It fits and sits well. The plastic used also matches the other plastics inside the console almost perfectly. The tray also has a cutout for the cable to run through from below into the factor cable slot on the front panel - such a nice finish. The compartment also has a small hole for the cable to run through, allowing you to charge something like a phone while it's stored in the console. I haven't used this feature, but it's nice nonetheless. Honestly, if you have a Tacoma, you need this tray. There is no other place to store small items like mints, a pressure gauge, receipts, a spare garage door opener, small items, etc. Yes, you can throw all of those items in the large area of the console, but this keeps everything organized. and much easier to find. Worth the few bucks it's worth. The only minor complaint here is that you have to remove this tray entirely if you want to get to the larger area below as it isn't articulated. That means you'll most likely need two hands - though I've only had to reach under the tray a handful of times and it didn't cause much inconvenience. Obviously, this isn't the tablet's fault - it really is part of Toyota's console design. I would prefer if they used a two tier lid like I've seen on some other vehicles (and I think older 4Runners did) where one latch would open the main lid and another latch would have room for a small tray like this would create. . However, this tray does an excellent job of remedying one of the few shortcomings a works truck suffers from.
