I didn't want/need an overly sophisticated lab quality meter - just an easy to use basic meter - and this one seems to fit the bill. What I've been doing lately requires a meter with a NIST certificate of calibration - and so far it looks like a simple voltage/resistance/continuity/temperature test is easily performed by this meter - and it looks like as if it would survive if it fell. with other "things" in my travel toolbox. When I doubt/doubt a gauge, I compare it to an old tested gauge and update that value with threads and/or samples.
