The controls on this headset are truly in a league of their own. They have 2 separate audio channels on it. One for stereo/surround gaming and one for voice chat. Both have independent volume controls. This allows you to increase the volume in your game and turn down the voice chat volume when someone connects separately with a crappy microphone. You don't have to go into Discord or anything to turn down the volume, you can do it in seconds. You can also mute the mic, okay. I had the original ls20s and they are pretty much the same except they are a bit stiffer. I hope so because my top brace broke because I had a big head. Still took almost 2 years, but still.
