Review on Yamaha S801BL Natural Integrated Amplifier by Adrienne Parker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Yamaha quality is always first class.

This integrated amplifier was purchased to replace an old Carver Corporation receiver, actually their first model. Although it still worked and was heavy, I rebuilt my stereo. Yamaha impresses with build quality and classic looks. He's strong, so raise with both hands! This affordable connection meets all my listening needs. It connects to my vintage moving magnet record player as well as my Super Audio CD player. I can use Bluetooth from my phone with a previously purchased BT adapter via the Line 1 input jack. I was a little worried at first if it would adequately drive my new Focal 826 floor stands, but don't worry! The sound from all connected sources is big, bright, clear and dynamic! I think what impresses me the most is the low to medium listening levels. Everything sounds clear and detailed. It really grabs your auditory attention! I recently added a small subwoofer (8" KEF Kube) to round out the bottom end. It even has a quality DAC which I have yet to explore. Gives me something to look forward to. The remote feels good weighted and the layout is easy to learn If you are looking for an amp that sounds, looks, connects and is great value for money then this is your beast! Bravo Yamaha 👏🏾
