This IR camera works great and requires no special setup. Simply turn on the IR emitters (or not, it's up to you) and connect your camera to the camera socket on your Raspberry Pi. Note that IR emitters actually give off a dull red glow when used, which you might not expect. At the base of each emitter are small "adjustment pots" that allow you to increase or decrease the power of the IR beam while making the emitter's red glow brighter or softer. I recommend the free and open-source surveillance software MotionEyeOS. It works with a variety of single board computers and cameras.
