I had to replace the ends of the DMX cable where the rubber cable to relieve stress had become loose over time and the securing tab had been lost. These worked fine. The cases are metal and it was easy to solder the petals to them. It took a little while to solder the inserts back to the cases but once I did that everything was fine and tidy. I never had to force it, I just had to line it up properly and keep the barrel lock at 6 o'clock so it didn't get in the way of the internally threaded insert. The end of the pen I had to remember to align as the align tabs are quite small but went in easily even after aligning. Overall good value for money as most places charge that much for ONE pair of M/Fs.
