This Wyze rod, which just had to be taped to the wall, worked great initially. It was the easiest thing I've ever installed. All I did was peel and paste. I waited 36 hours, bypassing the 24 hour requirement. Then I installed it and screwed the screw into the bottom. After 5-6 days I noticed that the glue was peeling off the wall. They designed the mount so that the camera is literally as far away from the wall as possible, putting downward pressure on it. If the camera had been moved a bit away from the edge it might have worked. There will still be room for rotation. The supplied adhesive is not enough to hold a solid metal plate. You can drill it into the wall with the screws provided, which I suggest.
