Class B Manufacturing and Finishing Dark and humid area Ideal for unhygienic bacterial growth

β–Ί My thoughts: I looked at the pictures and read some reviews and thought I'd like it. But I do not know. This product alone was really what put me off buying any of their products. You know what they say, you only get one chance to make a good impression. I had the impression that it didn't fit either the workmanship or the design. I wonder what their other products are. Let me tell you why. First the pen. It has a closed area inside the curl that you cannot remove. However, water, bacteria and dirt can and do enter through the edge of the scratch where the curve of the handle meets. Mine had a highly visible hole on either side for liquid and juices to pass through quite easily. I didn't get a chance to wash them without lots of water and hope for the best. Poorly. It has been coated with protective oil. That was not necessary. It was a wasted production step and added cost to the company. The only logical reason a company would intentionally add such manufacturing costs to their product is that they know something they don't want us to find out fast and fast. My husband is a metallurgist. He says the only reason for adding such a protective oil is so that it doesn't rust or tarnish during storage and transportation to the customer. Wow. Looks like they're going to coat it knowing it will show signs of rust easily. High quality stainless steel does NOT require protective oil. It will not rust no matter how long it is on a shelf or during transit. Poor quality requires it. Until I showed it on video I did a magnet test with it. High quality stainless steel is not magnetic because it contains more nickel, making the steel (iron) less prone to rust. Low quality stainless steel is magnetic due to its low nickel content. Steel (iron) rusts, nickel does not. Steel (iron) is magnetized, nickel is not. This bench scraper was highly magnetic. Proof of why they oiled it. Manufacturing standards were Class B at best. Too many tool marks on stainless steel from machining. The aforementioned area inside the handle should never have arisen if it had been better sealed. The beveled leading edge was nice, but then again, everyone has them no matter which model you choose. I think the pages are more of a gimmick than a real help. I didn't notice anything falling off the front edge of the scraper. So, based on associative reasoning, the sides behave the same without the need for a side rail. The disadvantage of railings is that you can't use them to cut dough as they get in the way. It's right in the box, I agree. This makes storage easier. How much easier than one who doesn't? Well, about Β½ inch easier - half the height of the device. Big bullshit. Just another trick. Revane says that 2 stars means "I don't like this" and 1 star means "I hate this". I don't hate it, but I really don't like it. I always round up to half a star, so I gave 2 stars instead of 1. β–Ί Measurements: 5 7/8 inches wide, 5 inches deep and 1 inch tall don't really know how much they really help. The grip is comfortable but really how long are you going to hold it so it matters. The beveled edge is convenient for scraping food. β–Ί Cons: You can't clean and dry the area inside the handle, but it attracts and holds water and other contaminants. The color does not match the picture. is of such poor quality that they were afraid of rusting before the customer received it. Because of the side parts, you can't use it to cut dough. β–Ί Suggestions for improvement: Either open the side ends of the curved area of the cleaning handle or provide a better seal to prevent water from entering or staying. Use the best grade of stainless steel. improve processing. β–Ί Will I buy again? no I'm returning this mainly because of the water and debris inside the pen, which is perfect for unsanitary bacterial growth. This is an inferior grade of stainless steel that is prone to rusting. This is more of a trick than an advantage. β–Ί Purchasing Decisions & Questions: I hope I have helped you make your purchasing decision for this Rachael Ray Bench Scrape.
